What FreedomGPT is in 2026
FreedomGPT first got attention in 2023 as a downloadable app that ran an uncensored model offline, on your own computer. That is no longer the main pitch. As of October 2026, the homepage headline is "One subscription for every AI", and the site says it gives access to 400+ AI models from one app.
The model list on freedomgpt.com includes ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen, Llama, Mistral and others, plus its own censor-free option called Liberty. An Auto mode picks a model for each question, or you choose one yourself. The site is clear that this does not activate paid accounts with each provider and does not include every provider feature.
- 01Multi-AI Chatcompare answers from several models side by side.
- 02Multi-Agent Debatelet models argue a question out.
- 03Photo Studiogenerate and edit images, upscale them, remove backgrounds.
- 04Videoturn a text prompt or a picture into a short clip.
- 05Roleplay and Story modelong-form creative sessions.
- 06Appsweb (chat.freedomgpt.com), iPhone and iPad, Android, plus an open-source project on GitHub for running models locally.
In short, FreedomGPT has moved from "uncensored offline chatbot" to "model aggregator with a censor-free option inside". That shift is the main reason people now search for a FreedomGPT alternative: some love the variety, others came for fewer refusals and want that to be the default, not one model in a long list.
FreedomGPT pricing as of October 2026
Based on FreedomGPT's public pricing page (checked October 2026), there are two plans. Pro usage is credit-based, so what you get depends on which models and tools you use.
| Plan | Price | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | No card or account needed; automatic model selection, web search, image generation; 100 bonus credits when you create an account |
| Pro | $20/month | 2,200 credits a month for premium models and creative tools; full Photo Studio; text-to-video and image-to-video; conversation history and personalization; one-time credit top-ups |
iAs listed on freedomgpt.com and chat.freedomgpt.com/pricing, October 2026
The pricing page gives rough examples of what 2,200 credits buys: around 10 credits per typical premium reply, 25 per standard image and 400 per five-second video. That works out to roughly 220 premium replies, or about 88 images, or about 5 short videos a month, not all three. We found no yearly plan and no published price for top-up credits on the page.
Is FreedomGPT uncensored? What its own FAQ says
Credit where it's due: FreedomGPT's FAQ is unusually candid. It says the service offers models with different response and moderation behavior, and that "a censor-free label does not guarantee that every request will be answered."
That matters because of how an aggregator works. When you pick a mainstream model inside FreedomGPT, you are still talking to a model trained by its maker, with that maker's refusal habits. If you want to know where those lines sit, our breakdown of which AI is uncensored walks through the published policies of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Meta AI. The Liberty model is the one FreedomGPT markets as censor-free.
In practice, that means two things. First, "uncensored" on FreedomGPT is a property of one model, not of the whole app. Second, you do the routing: when an answer comes back hedged or refused, you switch models and ask again. Some people enjoy that control. Others find it slows them down, especially for creative work where you want the same voice from the first chapter to the last.
FreedomGPT's FAQ also says hosted prompts and attachments are processed by the service and relevant providers, and tells users not to assume anonymity or zero retention. Running a model locally is a separate setup. We think that honesty is a good sign, and it's worth reading their privacy policy before you share anything sensitive.
Who FreedomGPT suits well
We are a competitor, so take this with a grain of salt, but FreedomGPT is a strong fit for some people. Stay with it if this sounds like you:
- You want to try many well-known models under one bill and compare their answers side by side.
- You want a free tier with no card and no account to start.
- You want native iPhone or Android apps rather than a browser app.
- You want text-to-video or image-to-video in the same place as chat.
- You like the idea of an open-source project you can run locally.
When a FreedomGPT alternative makes more sense
Variety is useful until you just want an answer. If any of these describe your week, a single assistant tuned for fewer refusals may suit you better:
- 01You keep picking models to dodge refusals. If you switch models three times to get one straight answer, the problem is the default behavior, not the menu.
- 02You want one consistent voice.Ten models means ten tones, ten levels of caution and ten ways of hedging. One assistant learns how you like answers.
- 03You write dark fiction, satire or blunt critique. You want villains that stay villains and feedback that doesn't open with a compliment sandwich.
- 04You want live web search with clickable sources, so you can check facts instead of trusting them.
- 05You'd rather pay in euroswith a flat monthly price and cancel in one click.
That's the gap Unrestricted AI fills. It's one app with a chat that refuses far less and skips the moral lectures, live web search with sources, and, on the Max plan, image generation. It refuses only a short public list of hard lines, which you can read in plain words on our acceptable use page.

How to test any FreedomGPT alternative in 15 minutes
- Write down three prompts that got refused or watered down where you are now.
- Add one prompt that needs fresh facts from this week, to test web search and sources.
- Add one creative prompt with a real villain or a dark theme.
- Run the same five prompts in each tool, unchanged.
- Score each answer: did it answer, did it lecture, was it accurate, could you verify it?
- Pick the tool that wins on the prompts you actually use, not on its feature list.
Keep the test fair. Use the same wording everywhere, don't add tricks, and judge the answers you would actually use at work or in your writing. A tool that never says no but gets facts wrong is not a win, and a tool that is accurate but lectures you on every third reply will wear you down.
